Senior Training Specialist - 2017 to Present

Develops and implements successful, proven learning strategies and programs for employees and customers. Builds curriculum content for classroom training, presentation, instructor guides, and reference materials for system users and customer training department personnel. Leads large and small classes using ADDIE theory, hands-on demonstrations and student exercises.

Teaches course types including: system user, system administrator, hardware maintenance, and data generation for building automation, fire & life safety, and energy management platforms. Maintains course curriculum including course descriptions, outlines, lesson plans, and classroom material. Develops project-specific Training Plans and based on customer contract requirements.

  • Initiated, designed, and implemented a Virtual Interactive Instructor Led Training program from the ground up at Siemens SI Academy that gained global recognition to ultimately create over 100 VILT classes since the project’s inception.

  • Developed four new courses in 2019 to provide to engineers, technicians and customer’s instruction in advanced operations of software based applications.

  • Since the beginning of the COVID-19 global pandemic, developed 4 100% virtual environments through the use of AWS and Desigo CC which eliminates the need for students in the classroom, making the physical simulators into virtualized equipment in the cloud computing environment.

  • Developed one VILT course which will aid in the on-boarding of new hire Sales associates to navigate through their CRM and booking tool software through their sales life-cycle to generate leads, contacts, forecasting and opportunities.

Trained large and varied groups of healthcare professionals in a variety of settings. Conducted one-on-one, small and large-group courses.

Implemented curriculum changes and adjusted training materials as systems and processes evolved.

Collaborated with leadership and San Diego County Quality Management to design employee training. Assisted in system testing activities consistently.

Notable Mention:

  • Provided rapid training to over 4,000 personnel ranging from physicians, nurses and admin professionals when San Diego County Health and Human Services (HHSA) converted to a new electronic health care system.
