The Ms. Veteran America Organization

2019 Ms. Veteran America 2RU - Lalena Zoe Magnetta, United States Navy

Being Ms. Veteran America has the ideals, purpose, and responsibility to bring awareness to the epidemic of women veteran homelessness in our nation.

This competition is entirely among women Veterans and active-duty from all service branches.

Differently from standard "pageants" this competition's pure platform supports a non-profit organization called Final Salute, Inc., which aids to bridge the gap in resources provided to our women veterans. Since FSI's was founded in 2010, their primary mission has been to support our sister veterans and their children in need. There are an estimated 55,000 homeless women veterans on our streets on any given night and 70% of them are single with children. With Final Salute Inc. and the help of MVA they are able to provide not only immediate housing to homeless women veterans but supply our nation with a plethora of other types of programs and services that help PREVENT homelessness.

I, Lalena Zoe Magnetta, am honored to officially be recognized as their 2019 Ms. Veteran America 2RU.

No VETERAN should have to live in poverty and my duty and responsibility as a titleholder of Ms. Veteran America is to ensure my sisters and their children are in safe and suitable housing, because they have earned that right. Why only women veterans you may ask? Well, our numbers are small ~ which mean national funding, budgets, and allocation of resources is even smaller.

These women veterans should be recognized for their service by helping them with the resources they deserve.
